Dear All,
It is with the greatest of sadness that we have to inform you of the death of our Society Treasurer, Dave Scotson, during the night of 31st December 2023 – 1st January 2024. He had been ill for some time.
Dave was elected Society Treasurer at the 1988 AGM and did an outstanding job ever since. All of us on the Committee will miss him as both a colleague and a friend, as of course will a great many others at the Bala Lake Railway, the Talyllyn Railway and in many other places. The Committee will be sending Dave’s family a letter of sympathy in the next few days.

David Scotson of Tywyn passed away peacefully with his loving partner Maria beside him on Sunday 31st December 2023 aged 70 years.
Caring brother of Peter and Christine, a fond uncle, nephew, cousin and a friend to many who will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Public service at Aberystwyth Crematorium on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at 1:00 p.m. It is the family’s wish for those attending to wear whatever they feel most comfortable in.
There will be an opportunity to share more stories and memories of David at the Wharf Station, Talyllyn Railway, Tywyn following the service at the crematorium.
No flowers. Donations in lieu gratefully received, if desired, towards the RNLI.
