Society AGM 17th May 2025 – Elections and Zoom Link

Dear All,

The following people have so far been confirmed as standing for election at the 2025 AGM (2.30PM on 17th May).

Peter Miller has been nominated for re-election as President by Chris Jackson & Bob Newton, to hold office for three years.

Nick Talbot has been nominated for re-election as Llanuwchllyn Express Editor by Mat Peacock & Tim Williams, to hold office for three years.

Claire Roberts has been nominated for election as Treasurer by Dave Fildes & Bob Newton, to hold office for three years.

Dave Fildes has been nominated for election as Vice-Chairman by Tim Williams & Peter Miller, to hold office for two years (this shorter term preserves the balance of the three-year rotational system).

There are still vacancies for a Vice-President (in addition to the three Vice-Presidencies currently filled) and one regular Committee member position. If you would like to find out more, please get in touch with me or anyone on the Committee. The formal notice period for standing at the AGM has now passed, meaning that it is no longer possible for us to accept candidates for election at the 2025 AGM, but it is possible for the Committee to co-opt someone pending election in 2026.

And just to remind you, there will be special trains for members on AGM day, and it would be great to see as many members as possible there in person.
