I’m just bumping this notice up a bit as the AGM is fast approaching. It’s on 17th May.
But even sooner is the deadline for applications to join the Committee – that’s midnight on 3rd May. We have several vacancies for regular Committee Members and it is also perfectly acceptable for people to stand for an already-occupied position should they so wish.
If you would like to find out more, please get in touch with me. If you are a member of the Society and would like to put yourself forward as a candidate, you will need to do so by the above deadline. Your application will need the support of two other members.
Thanks to the kind support of the Company, there will be special trains on the Railway that day, including at least one members-only train. Subject to crew availability, there will be a second engine in steam, providing footplate rides at Llanuwchllyn (free to members). The AGM itself will take place at around 2.30 PM (precise time to be confirmed). The day will conclude well before the start of the Eurovision Song Contest, so there’s no need to worry about missing it.
It will once again also be possible for members to join the AGM on the internet, using ‘Zoom’. The details of how to do this will be made available nearer the time.
Also, if you would like copies of the AGM paperwork emailed to you in advance, please get in touch. It is unfortunately not possible to send these by post.
