We’re gearing up now for the Model Show this coming weekend (21st and 22nd September). We have 30 layouts, 14 traders and 3 Society stalls. We’re also just starting to think about the 2025 Model Show, which is provisionally planned for the 20th and 21st September 2025 and which will be featuring a visit from Bachmann!
The 2024 Show is open to the public from 10.00-4.00 on both days. A vintage bus will connect with Bala’s car parks and our current terminus at Bala Pen-y-Bont. There will be a special two-train service on the Lake Railway. Standard fares apply on the Railway. The bus is free and tickets to get into the model show cost (per day) as follows. A full adult ticket is £6. Concessions are £5. One child is free per adult – otherwise, children over 5 yrs old are £2 each. Members’ tickets are £3.
In my previous post on this site to do with the Model Show (20th July), I announced a competition – the first five members to get in touch would get free tickets to the Show. This competition is now closed – nobody entered.
